The professional qualifications of the Institute have three distinct levels and the curriculum has been designed to provide a solid foundation for those wishing to have a thorough grounding in Marketing and become Chartered Marketers:

Foundation Certificate in Marketing:

  • Holders of Five (5) Credit passes in SSCE/GCE/NECO-Ordinary Levels at not more than two (2) sittings. The Five Credits must include English Language and Mathematics.
  • Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Disciplines outside of Marketing, Business Administration and Mass Communications.
  • Matured candidates with relevant work experience.

 Chartered Graduate Diploma in Marketing:

  • Holders of the Institute’s Foundation Certificate in Marketing
  • Holders of National Diploma (ND) in Marketing or Business Administration and Mass Communications.
  • Holders of BSc, BA, and HND in Disciplines outside of Marketing, Business Administration and Mass Communications.

 Chartered Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing:

  • Holders of the Institute’s Chartered Graduate Diploma in Marketing
  • Holders of BSc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration and Mass Communications.
  • Holders of MSc or MBA in addition to BSc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration and Mass Communications are exempted from Part I.

All payments must be made in favour of: National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and payment teller forwarded to the Institute.

Date of Examination: The Examination of the Institute is held twice each year (June and December). All Examination entry forms must reach the National Secretariat with bank draft or tellers for the appropriate fees on or before the final day of close of entry.

No examination form will be processed if it not accompanied by evidence of payment for the examination.
Tuition: Students are free to attend any Accredited Tutorial Centre nearest to them. These are listed on the Institute’s website.
