STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I intend to vie for the council membership based on my three 3Rs philosophy namely Repositioning, Remarketing and Reengineering of the Institute’s activities towards creating and delivering value to members and the country in general.
I intend to significantly contribute towards the repositioning drive of the present executive council of the institute such that the mere mentioning of the institute’s name will elicit positive image of a dynamic and responsive organization. This can be achieved through reinventing our core values and imbibing it in all our undertakings.
Remarketing of the Institute is inevitable presently because of the apparent inactivity and frequent change of logo in recent years. Similarly, we need to get the buy-in of other key stakeholders to the institute such as the tertiary institutions, relevant professional bodies, MDAs, NGOs, media houses, etc. As a marketing body, the institute should be the catalyst of marketing practice in the country and beyond. In essence we need to be the epitome of marketing best practices.
The reengineering drive for the Institute calls for rejuvenating the entire functions of the institute including membership mobilization. The foundation and intermediate qualifications of the institute, for example, should be accepted for direct entry into degree and ND courses. This can be achieved by collaboration with NBTE, NUC and JAMB and having representation at the National Education Council meeting where it will be made a national policy. In addition, all political parties and candidates should register with the institute because they engage in political marketing. These are just few of the reengineering issues that I intent to table before the council if elected. So help me God.
